On May 18th, some Battlegrounders participated in the third annual Dash for Cover 5K race that raises money for Captain Joe Billek Foundation benefitting melanoma research. Joe Billek passed away two years ago from melamona and his wife, former Battlegrounder Pam Billek, works with Palm Harbor Dermatology to put on this race.

This race was not only in memory of a great man, or run just because you were a friend of Pam’s. This race was ran to help spread awareness of the importance of yearly skin checks, sun safety, and being smart and looking for anything that may be odd on your body. Pam is a remarkable woman who is strong, compassionate, fun, loving, caring, and genuine. She is sure to bring a smile to your face. As a former Battlegrounder, she will always have our support. Once a Battlegrounders, always a Battlegrounders.

Our Battlegrounders did awesome in the Dash for Cover 5K!
